Claire Mermelstein
Born and raised in Costa Rica, I aspired to become a fashion designer and came to San Francisco, CA where I might have found an interest in costume design as well. I graduated from California College of the Arts in May of 2022 at 23 years old.
I have a passion for traveling, food and entomology. Fashion styling is also one of my main interests and would like to include it in whatever I do.
I tend to be drawn to things out of the ordinary. I like the “odd one out” and this is what I like to focus my design on: creating garments and scenarios that are out of the ordinary and considered “weird”. I’m interested in creating odd shapes while still flattering the human form.
